Dortmund need a reaction in Baku

Borussia Dortmund travel to Baku, Azerbaijan, to face Sabah FK on matchday 3 of the Champions League. After a 3-2 win over Villarreal, the Germans lost 1-0 at Bodø/Glimt. In the Bundesliga, they come off two draws (2-2 against Werder Bremen, 0-0 against Union Berlin).

Sabah are Champions League newcomers. The Azerbaijani side were beaten 4-0 at Manchester United, but they won 2-0 at home against Slavia Prague, so they will be tough to break down in front of their own fans.

Serhou Guirassy, the man to watch

The Guinean striker opened his European campaign with a brace against Villarreal. He has, however, gone three games without scoring, and will want to get back on the scoresheet against a much weaker defence than those in the Bundesliga. For Sabah, Rwanda's Joy-Lance Mickels is the main attacking threat.

Absentees

Dortmund will be without Emre Can and Konstantinos Karetsas. Good news for Niko Kovac: Nico Schlotterbeck and Waldemar Anton are back in defence. For Sabah, Aliyev is a doubt.

Our view

Despite an uneven start to the season, Dortmund have far more quality than Sabah and need the win to stay in the race. We go for a Dortmund win. For bigger odds, a Serhou Guirassy goal is an interesting option.
