Bayern Munich vs Arsenal prediction
A clash of champions
German champions Bayern Munich host English champions Arsenal in the headline game of matchday 3. Vincent Kompany's side are unbeaten this season and scoring freely: 5-0 against Bodø/Glimt, 7-0 against Union Berlin, 6-1 against Leipzig. Bayern are unbeaten in their last 39 group or league-phase home games in the Champions League.
Mikel Arteta's Arsenal are the only team yet to concede in this season's Champions League (3-0 against Lille, 1-0 at Napoli). But the Gunners have lost their last three trips to the Allianz Arena.
The African player to watch
Morocco's Ismael Saibari is expected to start in Bayern's attacking midfield. He will have a key role in supplying Harry Kane, especially with Michael Olise suspended.
Absentees
Bayern are without Michael Olise (suspended) and Jamal Musiala (injured), while Joshua Kimmich is a doubt. Arsenal are missing William Saliba, Piero Hincapié and Christos Tzolis.
Our view
Harry Kane has scored 15 goals in 22 games against Arsenal, his favourite opponent since his Tottenham days. Against a defence without Saliba, we go for Harry Kane to score.
